At LCC we offer a wide range of IT courses to help you gain the skills and abilities you need to be fully effective in the workplace. LCC has been delivering several BCS Qualifications such as Digital Skills and ECDL.
LCC have been successfully delivering the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) for more than 10 years and we have taken more than 1000 students through the qualification. Currently, LCC offers ECDL at two levels: ECDL Essential and ECDL Extra. The qualification can be tailored at each level to meet your specific requirements. Each qualification is made up of a combination of the units.
ECDL Advanced (Level 3 ITQ Certificate)
ECDL Advanced is a large step up from the ECDL Level 1 & 2 programme. ECDL Advanced allows learners to develop their existing skills and expertise to support workplace demands.

ECDL Extra is a fixed combination of Level 2 ITQ units leading to this internationally recognised IT qualification. Extra introduces applications such as word processing and spreadsheet software.

Digital Skills
BCS Digital Skills is the Entry Level course that covers skills such as social networking, making online video calls, organise and transferring music and many more, across a range of engaging and easy-to-learn units. Digital Skills is suitable for learners of all ages and abilities and has been designed to be as accessible as possible.
It comes complete with interactive e-learning that remembers a learners’ progress and helps them advance at a comfortable pace - and it’s perfect for both distance and blended learning.
The qualification is available as one of two versions. The full Digital Skills qualification comprises 7 units, 100 guided learning hours with 13 QCF Credits. A new 2-unit option: Digital Skills - Getting Started covers 2 units, 24 guided learning hours with 3 QCF Credits.
The qualification covers basic digital literacy, covering a combination of IT user skills (such as an introduction to a computer and developing online skills) and digital media skills (such as how to use a digital camera and use music software and mobile music devices). Through to more complex tasks for example: Digital editing of a video, sharing your Digital Media online. It also introduces you to social networking, in particularly Facebook.
